On April 22, 2024, the Bangladesh Intellectual Property Attorneys Association (BIPAA) witnessed a momentous election. Twenty-one executive members were chosen to lead the organization for two years. The election results promise a dynamic leadership lineup poised to navigate the complexities of intellectual property law and advocate for the rights of creators and innovators in the country.
Mr. Md. Solaiman Munshi, who has been elected as President of BIPAA, heads the executive committee. With an illustrious career in intellectual property law and a proven track record of leadership, Mr. Munshi brings a wealth of experience and vision to his new role. His appointment heralds a period of strategic direction and innovation for BIPAA as it seeks to address emerging challenges and opportunities in the field.
Mr. S.M Zillur Rahman, a seasoned legal professional known for his dedication to promoting intellectual property rights, assumes the role of secretary. With his expertise in legal matters and organizational proficiency, Mr. Rahman is well-positioned to ensure the smooth functioning of BIPAA and facilitate effective communication among its members.
Mr. Md. Joynal Abedin Chaudhury Reagan, Organizing Secretary, and Mr. Nd. Tariqul Islam, Publicity Secretary, join the leadership team, rounding out the executive committee with their respective areas of expertise and dedication to the cause of intellectual property rights.
In addition to the executive members, BIPAA appointed three advisors to guide and support the leadership team. Mr. Masum Rana and Mr. Mohibul Islam were also elected as executive members. Their wealth of experience and strategic insights will be instrumental in shaping BIPAA’s initiatives and advocacy efforts over the next two years.
In his inaugural address, President Solaiman Munshi expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and his fellow executives and outlined his vision for BIPAA’s future.
